PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds 6.1 Update
On January 22, 2020, an update 6.1 was released on the main PUBG servers, which brought a lot of innovations to the game. This article will provide a brief overview of everything you need to know about the new version of the game.
The main innovation of this update is the new Karakin map. This is the smallest map in the game, its size is 2 by 2 kilometers. Designed for 64 players, instead of 100, as on large maps. All settlements are very close to each other. It resembles a mixture of Miramar and Sanhok maps.
Exclusively for Karakin, the Black Zone has been added: a bombardment in which missiles fly directly into buildings. Moreover, the degree of destruction is completely random. If you are near buildings, then you have nothing to fear.
There was also a sticky bomb, also exclusive to the new map. Can be found all over the map. After the throw, it sticks to any surface, and after a few seconds it explodes with a characteristic sound. If you throw a sticky bomb into a wall that looks like exposed brickwork, then the bomb will destroy it.
A new vehicle, Motor Glider, has been added to the Erangel and Miramar maps. On each map there are 40 spawn points of this type of transport, while in each game only 10 units spawn. Initially, they appear without fuel.
New Survivor Pass: Shakedown
Almost no different from the previous game mechanics. Added CDs that need to be collected for additional bonuses. There are also daily seasonal missions. The maximum level is 100. In total, more than 70 new skins are available. The cost of the pass is $10.
• changed some sounds of weapons
• added new rating season
• performance improvement
• Vikendi map temporarily removed from the game
